Storage Room

Here's a shot of our storage room.  On the other side of the wall where you see the electrical outlet is our main Vocal/Isolation Room.  On the other side of the opposite wall is the great outdoors... only 53 feet away from a busy street!  So, although this room will be just a storage room, we built the walls 10 inches thick on the street side and 8 inches thick on the Vocal Room side!  We can only hope this will be enough to keep traffic noise out or at least down to a level our equipment's frequency filters can capture and eliminate it!  We're pretty sure we'll be alright though.  This studio is the 4th we've built, and with the three previous studios we had nearly the same proximity to busy streets with walls only 4 inches thick and even then we were able to control the noise fairly well.  So, we feel pretty confident our storage room will make a great sound barrier!
