Insulation and frame work of the Control Room floor

The Control Room floats about 1/2 inch above the concrete below for less sound transmission and better isolation.  The pipe seen in the corner allows cables to be moved in and out of the Isolation Room quickly and quietly without compromising the heavily fortified features of the walls.  The sectioned off areas of the floor frame along the edges mark the sections where the top of the floor in the control room will have removable panels for easy access to the space below.  In this space we'll run the majority of the wires and cables going to and from our various pieces of recording equipment.  This will result in less clutter and better organization of the hundreds of feet of wire and cable we have to manage!
